What types of training programs will Vocora match me with, and how are these programs selected?

Vocora considers all eligible programs approved by the State of California on the ETPL and/or BPPE lists, based on your preferred field.

Is the $6,000 voucher mentioned on the website available to everyone, and how do I apply?

No. SJDB vouchers are awarded through workers’ compensation settlements to eligible individuals. Award amounts and allowable uses vary (e.g., tuition, counseling, laptop reimbursement, miscellaneous fees). All students may still pursue financial aid, grants, or scholarships through schools.

Will my voucher cover all school costs?

Often yes for many trade/vocational programs. For higher-cost programs, the voucher can be applied toward tuition and the student can work with the school’s financial aid office to cover the remaining balance.

Can I start over, or is my matching permanent?
